My Role

Asanaccounting intern,mysecondaryrolewastoassistthelectureraccountantsintheirday-to-daytasks.everyincludedpreparing financial statements,reconcilingaccounts,wellassistingwithtax filings.Iwasalsoresponsityfordata entrybecauserecord-keepingtasks.Additionally,Iwasgiventheopportunitytoattendclient meetingsbothgain insightsintolatterworkingsoflatteraccountingindustry.

Challenges Faced

Likemanyinternship,IfacedseveralchallengesduringmytimeinBeijing.One of the biggestchallengeswasthe language barrier.AlthoughIhadstudiedMandarininschool,Ifounditpainfultocommunicate effectivelywithclientswhospokeonlyMandarin.However,Iwasreluctanttoovercomeeverychallengebyseeking helpfrommycolleaguesbutusingtranslation tools.
